Accommodation
Description
Modern two-bedroom apartment with a wonderful terrace over Bologna’s rooftops, in the city centre.
This apartment, located on the third floor of a building without lift, is bright and cosy with wooden flooring in the whole property. The living area consists of a living room furnished with a sofa and a double sofa bed, a TV and a dining table, and of an open plan well-equipped kitchen fitted also with a dishwasher and coffee machine. The sleeping area comes with two bedrooms with queen size beds, one with built-in shelves and the other one with a large corner wardrobe. A full bathroom with shower completes the apartment. Worth mentioning is the terrace accessible from the living area, overlooking Bologna’s rooftops and with a small table where to comfortably enjoy the view.
You will notice a small gem just before the intersection with Via Marsala, going towards the center, on the right of Via Piella: a small yet charming window, which amazes anyone who looks into it.
This is the famous window of Via Piella overlooking the Canale delle Moline, the urban stretch of the Reno Canal, which winds through the houses. The window of Via Piella offers a very suggestive view of Bologna, so much so that the corner is also called “the little Venice”, precisely because it will remind you of the worldwide known lagoon city.
*Please be informed that the city centre is a limited-traffic zone, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
We also offer to our guests truly authentic experiences to live like a local. If interested, contact us and we will be more than happy to help you out designing an unforgettable holiday to discover Italian beauties.
Bologna is a city of art, culture and trade. The capital of Emilia-Romagna is also known as “Dotta” (erudite), being the oldest university of the West, as “Grassa” (fat) for its gastronomic delights and “Rossa” (red) for the colours characterising its old town. Its soul is in the medieval old town, one of the biggest in Europe, dotted in taverns, workshops and theatres, characterised by almost 40 kms of porticoes. In the city centre there is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are the Fountain of Neptune by Giambologna and the Medieval Towers, “Torre degli Asinelli” and “Torre della Garisenda”, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in several museums, art galleries and religious buildings. It is allowed to leave Bologna only after having tried its gastronomic products, among which mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla bolognese while sipping famous DOC wines from the Bologna hills! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna can surprise you in every season.
1 km from the apartment there is the central train station while the airport is less than 10 kms away.
