Accommodation
Description
Cosy apartment in a building from the end of the XIX century, recently renovated keeping original and typical elements, in the centre of Naples.
This comfortable apartment, located on the first floor of a building from the end of the 1800 without the lift, opens onto the open space living area furnished with a double sofa bed, a dining area, and an open-plan and well-equipped kitchen where the famous neapolitan “riggiole” (handmade and hand painted majolicas) have been preserved.
From here guests can access the bedroom, which comes with a queen size bed and a dresser where to store personal belongings. A full bathroom with a shower and a washing machine completes the apartment. At guests’ disposal there are amenities such as free Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the living room and a heating pump, and every detail has been thought out to make our guests feel at home, enjoying silence and tranquillity while being in the heart of the city.
We also offer to our guests truly authentic experiences to live like a local. If interested, contact us and we will be more than happy to help you out designing an unforgettable holiday to discover Italian beauties.
“When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave”, people say. Naples is a unique city, to experience by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage. Naples is at the origin of a peculiar culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Walking through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, you will cross its millenary history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Cathedral of Naples and the Maschio Angioino. If there is a symbolic place of Naples, this is Piazza del Plebiscito, today a symbol of the new "Neapolitan Renaissance" where tourists come to admire its grandeur and its two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Palazzo Reale. Today it is also possible to visit "the underground city", or the so-called "womb of Naples", used by the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombings, where tourists can cross the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters and finally visit the Museum of the War.
Not to be missed is San Severo Chapel which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works that can be seen in Naples, the result of the talent of Giuseppe Sanmartino.
The apartment is located in the centre of Piazza Nolana, one of the oldest squares in the historic centre, which owes its name to the ancient Porta Nolana dating back to the 15th century. It enjoys an enviable and strategic position to reach many points of interest in a few minutes' walk. The Garibaldi station is a 2-minute walk away, allowing guests to easily travel by metro to the Federico II University, Piazza Bovio, Piazza del Municipio, Piazza Dante, Via Toledo and the Spanish quarters, as well as to the Vomero. The central railway station is less than 10 minutes away and the airport is only 15 minutes by car.
