Cleggan Harbour Holiday Home No.2 is a spacious holiday accommodation located in the beautiful coastal village of Cleggan in Galway. This seaside holiday home is centrally located so you can easily pop to the local grocery store, traditional pubs and delicious village restaurants serving fresh seafood daily.
This vibrant little village has a busy harbour and is the port of access for Inishbofin and Inishturk. Cleggan is a wonderful holiday destination for a seaside holiday, visit nearby Omey Strand, or explore glorious beaches such as Rossadillisk, Selerna, Aughrusbeg and Anchor Beach dotted along Aughrus Peninsula. There are a varity of coastal and countryside walks you can enjoy with your beloved pet from this pet-friendly holiday home.
Double doors lead open to a large grassed rear garden. Garden furniture is provided making it the perfect spot for alfresco dining or relaxing.
There is an additional guest bathroom with WC and hand basin located on the ground floor.

The local grocery store is well stocked with all the necessary supplies for your next self-catering holiday in Galway. Cleggan has four bars, Oliver’s, Joyce’s, Newman’s, and The Pier Bar, a post office and children’s playground. The local pubs are busy with traditional music to entertain visitors and locals alike during the summer months. The well-known Sea Hare a popular pop-up restaurant operates from the village too. The menu changes daily depending on what locally sourced produce is available. You will experience a unique dining experience, with a selection of irresistible cakes and our delicious fresh coffee.
Climb to the top of Cleggan Head to relish the spectacular sea and countryside views with the Twelve Bens to the east and the distinctive hills of Mayo – Croagh Patrick, and Achill Head to the north. At the top you will also discover the remains of a watchtower constructed during the Napoleonic wars. The area surrounding Cleggan is rich in archaeological sites, discover the remains of the 7th century church of St. Feichin on Omey island, the wedge tomb near Sellerna beach or the fairy hills of Sheeauns. Connemara National Park is a 15-minute drive from Cleggan or spends a day cycling the scenic Connemara Greenway. Cleggan Riding Centre offers scenic pony trekking across Cleggan Beach and across to Omey Island when the tide is low. Sea fishing charters are also offered in the village. Cleggan is a wonderful base for a self-catering holiday in Ireland. A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.

The spacious holiday home is spread over three floors and overlooks Cleggan main street. The ground floor consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area. The living room is well presented with timber floors, comfortable suite, TV & DVD player, and wood burning stove. The large kitchen and dining room is very well equipped providing all the essentials for a comfortable holiday in Galway. From the kitchen window you can enjoy street and distant sea views of Cleggan Bay. Please reserve at the time of booking via our call centre +353 (0)1 201 8440, as your pet will not be accepted without prior confirmation. Pets are not permitted in the bedrooms, on carpeted areas or on the furniture. Pets must not be left in the property unsupervised and must be exercised off premises.
